Ryan was working SO hard making Evan a toy box when I gave him another project. He such a good Daddy/husband that he stopped work altogether on the toy box and started sanding an refinishing a high chair for Evan!
I have been looking all over for a wooden high chair for a reasonable price. I finally found one. It is a good thing I continued looking because this high chair matches our dining room set very well. But, it is the wrong color stain… guess what that means? Yup. Ryan had to sand down the entire thing down to the natural wood. After 5 packets of sandpaper and about 2 days, it was completely sanded down and ready for some stain!
But, in the process of making/refinishing all these cool new things, we had saw dust EVERYWHERE! I would sweep the floors and get piles of saw dust… and let's not even talk about the garage! OYE!
Here are some of the pictures of the toy box so far!
The high chair is completed, now Ryan can re-focus on his toy box. (And let me tell you, it is looking FANTASTIC!) Oh, and yes, I made the cushion.
We are so lucky to have a Daddy/husband like him. :)
(Don't mind the hair, this is the AFTER mohawk look!)
Thanks for stopping by! And be on the lookout for the pictures of the COMPLETED toy box!
Love,
