Augusta is only a little over 2 hours away, but it went by quick. Evan did awesome in his NEW car seat; hardly made a peep! He was perfectly content with his water and his new books!
We hit the road a little after 9am and arrived at 11:30ish, but it seemed quicker than that. I think Evan being so good made the trip seem quicker than it was.
After having lunch at Carolina Ale House, we made a trip to the Savannah Rapids Pavilions. Man… I wish we had a place like that closer to us. What a beautiful place to take a walk. You can look out over the Augusta Canal Head Gates on one side and the slow moving Savannah River on the other.
Here are some pictures…
Isn't it gorgeous?!
The Head Gate
Our sweet boy enjoying the beautiful day!
He LOVES being outside!
Here is the Savannah River. There were even people kayaking on the water!
Daddy and Evan :)
The wind was a little chilly… Gah, he is adorable! :)
Our lovely walking path. Ryan put Evan on his shoulders and walked under the moss, his face was priceless!
Cousin Allie and Evan. He was enjoying some cuddles before we had to go back home!
