Colorado Continued...

We celebrated Evan's FIRST Easter in Colorado. It was a gorgeous day for an Easter Egg Hunt.  I wasn't going to let Evan participate (because, well, Evan isn't allowed any candy) but, we couldn't help but to put him down and let him find the eggs for his cousin(ish) Sage. I am not sure the relation between them, Sage is my cousin; so whatever that makes her to Evan…

And please, don't mind the BEAUTIFUL backdrop we had; the church was apparently trying to grow some grass during this whole shindig.

He loved picking up all the wood chips (and whatever else he could find) off the ground and eating it.
I will be SO happy when this "let's put anything and everything into our mouth" stage is over with!

GOT IT!!

Ooo… I found another one… :)

And INTO the mouth!

Sage and Evan showing off their baskets!

Ooo, whatcha got Sage?

Sage lovin' on Evan!

I know it is a little late, but we hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Hallelujah Christ has risen! Christ has risen indeed, Hallelujah!

Colorado Continued...

While we were home, our WONDERFUL friend Rolf was able to get us tickets to ride the Cog Railway up to the top of Pike's Peak. We couldn't have asked for a better day, blue skies, 80 degrees… just gorgeous!

Here are some breathtaking pictures we were able to snap on our trip.

The tracks heading up to the summit.

Stylin'

Yeah, that's right. 14,110 feet!

Riding on the cog!

Some of the views on the way up.

That train left shortly after we did.

Our cog trains parked at the top.
They allow you about 20 minutes at the top to enjoy the view, take some pictures and eat some famous "Pikes' Peak Doughnuts."

Although it was 80 degrees in Denver, it was a whopping 15 degrees at the summit! And guess who forgot jackets… Yup. It was COLD! (Luckily I had a sweatshirt and a blanket for Evan.)

But it was totally worth it!

They say you can see 7 states from the top. And I believe it!

"America the Beautiful" was conceived at the summit.

Can you blame her, it is BEAUTIFUL at the top!

Headed back down.

I love this lake, half frozen and half thawed!

It was an incredible trip. TOTALLY worth freezing our tails off.

Well, Thank you for stopping by!

And this is only 1/2 of the pictures from our trip; so stay tuned!

Colorado Continued...

EVAN GOT HIS FIRST HAIRCUT!!!!

As you may have noticed in the previous posts, Evan's hair was getting pretty long… so it was time for a haircut!

After a couple tries (places being closed, hair stylist looking kinda crazy…) we finally got his hair cut!

This lady might look decent, but she was kinda crazy!

BEFORE….

He wasn't a fan of it at first. (It didn't help that we went during "nap time")

During...

AFTER! :)

Then the crazy lady put this junk in his hair to make it look all crazy.

We washed that junk out when we got home… :)

Such a handsome boy!

Grandma Kathy went with us, too!

Mommy, Daddy and Evan

Since then, we have had 1 hair cut since. And this time the lady wasn't crazy, because Mommy cut his hair! (And it looks sooo much better than when the crazy lady cut it!)

Thanks for stopping by!

Colorado Continued...

After Mommy went to school, we headed over to "Wings Over the Rockies" to check out all the cool planes!

This place was awesome!

What a view...

These were hanging in the entry way.

Cheesin' with Daddy!

He loves should-rides!

Future pilot?? Maybe...

GAHH… Isn't it just beautiful?!

There is still LOTS left…
Stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by!
